I blocked out a head but every time I try to sculpt the ear it just smears. What am I doing wrong?

You get: three questions about your subdivision level, your active polygon count and whether you have DynaMeshed since blocking -> a short explanation of why a brush cannot make detail smaller than the polygons under it -> a worked example on a simple shape, DynaMesh at 128 for the block, ZRemesher, then four subdivision levels -> your turn, check your Tool palette, report the level you are on and the total points -> you report level 1 of 1 at 20k -> it asks what the smallest feature on your ear is in millimetres and how many polygons sit across it -> you work out the answer yourself -> the concept named, resolution has to precede detail -> next action: DynaMesh at a higher resolution, then subdivide twice before touching the ear again.

How does this AI ZBrush tutor work when the AI cannot see my screen?+
You describe the state instead. The tutor asks for the numbers ZBrush already shows you: active points, subdivision level, DynaMesh resolution, which subtool is selected. Those numbers tell it what is wrong far more reliably than a screenshot would. It then gives one step, and you go and do it in ZBrush and report what happened.
Can it sculpt for me or hand me a finished model?+
No. It cannot open ZBrush, run a brush, render or export anything, and it will say so. What it does is teach the sequence and the reason for each step, then make you perform it. A tutor that hands you meshes leaves you exactly where you started, which is watching other people sculpt.
Is it up to date with recent ZBrush versions and ZBrushCoreMini?+
The lesson plan uses features present in ZBrush 2021 and later: DynaMesh, ZRemesher, Sculptris Pro, folders, Gizmo 3D and Live Boolean. Menu paths move between releases, so the tutor is told to describe where a control lives and say when it is unsure rather than invent a menu. It flags what ZBrushCoreMini cannot do.
Do I have to read it myself?+
No. The file is written for your AI to read, not for you. Upload it or paste it in once and the AI takes on the role. After that you just ask it questions the way you normally would. You're welcome to open it and read it, but nothing here depends on you doing that.
Is this a physical book?+
