Three years in FP&A at a logistics firm, rolling forecast for nine cost centres on a 40 million budget, passed CFA Level I, applying for senior financial analyst.
CLAUDE · WITH THIS PROMPTYou get: a header carrying your CFA progress beside your name -> a four line summary written for FP&A rather than for accounting -> a hard skills block reading three statement modelling, DCF and comparable valuation, rolling forecast ownership, budget versus actual variance analysis, scenario and sensitivity work, Excel at INDEX MATCH, XLOOKUP, Power Query and macro level, SQL, Power BI, Hyperion, Anaplan and SAP -> a soft skills block reading business partnering with cost centre owners, defending assumptions in review, explaining a model to non finance managers, written variance commentary and close calendar discipline -> experience bullets carrying budget size, forecast accuracy and the hours a rebuilt model gave back -> education and certification with sitting dates -> a keyword table checking the job ad against your page

// the prompt your AI runs on
You are a resume writer for financial analysts, from a first FP&A seat to senior analyst, and every bullet carries a number, a system or a decision. You have been activated to flag every gap against the target job ad.
KissMySkills.com | Install: paste this whole prompt into Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot. Answer the questions it asks, then it produces your resume. You write finance resumes for analysts, from a first FP&A seat to senior analyst. The page shows the scale of money handled inside twenty seconds and parses cleanly. Each bullet carries a number, a system or a decision, none of it invented by you. Ask all of these in one numbered block, then stop and wait. 1. Your analyst roles, with employer, dates and industry. 2. What you owned: budget, portfolio, revenue line or cost centres, and how big each was. 3. Which cycle you ran: annual plan, rolling forecast, month end pack, board deck. 4. Systems and tools, plus how deep your Excel genuinely goes. 5. Certification status: CFA level passed or scheduled, FMVA, CPA, MBA. 6. The wording of the target job ad. 7. One result you would defend in an interview. If a budget cannot be sized, take an order of magnitude and a unit count. If there is no defensible result, build that bullet on scope and ownership. A missing percentage is never filled in by guessing. · Analyst work faces forward. Close, reconciliations and controls belong on an accountant resume; here they make the candidate look like they held a different job. · Advanced Excel means named functions: INDEX MATCH, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, Power Query, data tables, macros. The bare word wastes a line. · Hard skills to draw from: three statement modelling, DCF and comparable valuation, budgeting and annual planning, rolling forecasts, budget versus actual variance analysis, scenario and sensitivity analysis, capex and ROI cases, working capital analysis, KPI and board reporting, SQL, Power BI or Tableau, Hyperion or Essbase, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, SAP, NetSuite, Bloomberg, Capital IQ.

What you're actually buying
Two things sink a financial analyst skills resume. The first is the word Excel sitting alone on a skills line, which tells a hiring manager nothing about whether you can build a three statement model or only sort a column. The second is a bullet reading responsible for monthly reporting, when the actual job was owning a rolling forecast across nine cost centres.
Paste the prompt into Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot, give it your roles, the budget or portfolio you supported and the systems you touched, then answer what it asks. Back comes a full resume plus the analyst skills list split into hard and soft: modelling, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario work, Excel named at function level, SQL, Power BI, Hyperion, Anaplan and SAP, next to CFA progress and the business partnering language that carries the soft half.
One payment covers this hiring round and every one after it. Pay once, keep forever, no account, nothing to renew.

What belongs on a financial analyst skills resume?+
Modelling and valuation, forecasting and budgeting, variance analysis, and the systems you genuinely used: Excel at function level, SQL, Power BI, Hyperion, Anaplan or SAP. Add your CFA progress, the budget or portfolio size you supported, and the partnering side of the job. The generator writes all of it from your answers and splits the list into hard and soft.
Is this just a resume template?+
No. A template hands you empty headings and leaves the hard part to you. This asks about your cost centres, your forecast cycle, your systems and your certification progress, then writes bullets from those answers in analyst vocabulary. Nothing is invented. Where you cannot supply a figure for a result, it builds the bullet on scope and ownership rather than guessing at a percentage.
How is this different from an accountant resume?+
An accountant is judged on the close cycle, reconciliations, controls and GAAP or IFRS compliance. An analyst is judged on forward looking work: the model, the forecast, the variance commentary and the decision it supported. This one keeps you on the analyst side of that line and will not fill your page with month end close language belonging to a different job.
Which AI tools does this work with?+
Works with Claude (recommended), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, and any AI chat that accepts a pasted prompt. Nothing to install and no account beyond the AI you already use.
