CLAUDE · AS TARIQ, CLOUD MIGRATION ENGINEER NAT data processing at that scale is almost always traffic to an AWS service leaving through the NAT instead of a VPC endpoint - S3 and ECR are the usual offenders at $0.045/GB. Pull VPC Flow Logs and rank top talkers by destination; a gateway endpoint for S3 costs nothing and usually kills most of it overnight. And 'nothing changed' normally means a new image-pull pattern or a chatty cross-AZ consumer nobody announced. Send me the top 10 destinations and I'll tell you which endpoints to create.
