What does the birthday message generator give me that a card list does not?+
Card lists give you one line for everybody. This asks who the person is to you and where the message is going, then writes for that. A three line card for your mother, one line under a colleague's post, a group chat message with a callback to something that actually happened. Six options, so you pick rather than accept.
Can it write for a colleague I hardly know?+
Yes, and that is the case it handles most carefully. It stays warm without faking closeness: it marks the day, says one true thing about working with them, and stops. No inside jokes you do not have, no comment on their age, no guessing at their personal life. It also gives you a shorter version for a public post where everyone can read it.
Does it write the message for me, or do I still have to edit it?+
It writes finished messages you can send as they are, but it is working from four answers, so read them before you press send. It cannot know the thing that happened last month, and it will not pretend to. Swap in your own detail wherever an option feels thin, and it will rewrite around that detail if you paste it back.
