What does AI Paralegal Copilot do?+
It prepares paralegal work product inside Claude or ChatGPT: drafts from your firm templates, case chronologies with pin cites, deadline calendars from rule text you supply, exhibit and privilege logs, Bluebook citation clean-up, intake summaries and filing checklists. Every output is a draft for attorney review.
Is an AI legal assistant a replacement for a lawyer?+
No. It is not legal advice and it does not decide strategy, privilege or what to file. It does the preparation work a paralegal does, marks every assumption and unconfirmed citation, and leaves review, signature and client communication to the supervising attorney.
How does AI for paralegals handle confidentiality and privilege?+
It treats everything you share as confidential client material and repeats facts only in the outputs you ask for. Privilege log entries are proposals marked PENDING for attorney decision. Follow your firm's policy and your AI provider's data settings before uploading client documents.
Does it do AI legal research?+
No. For finding and analysing case law, use the AI Legal Research Assistant. This skill focuses on drafting and case management, and it never invents citations: anything it did not see in your materials is tagged VERIFY for checking against the source.
