What's the best way to do ai photo to sketch — a filter or a generator?+
A layered filter stack (Photocopy plus Poster Edges in Photoshop, or a desaturated reference under a Sketchy brush in Procreate) gives you a result you can keep editing by hand. A generator gives a finished look faster but with less control. The coach asks what you'll do with the result and points you to the right method.
Can it help turn my rough sketch into a finished image?+
Yes — that's the reverse direction. Send a screenshot of your sketch and the prompt box of whichever generator you're using, and it tells you how to phrase the prompt so the generator keeps your composition and line work rather than replacing it with something new.
My sketch effect looks muddy or the lines are too thick. What do I change?+
Usually the filter's detail or edge simplicity setting, or the layer blend mode over the original. Send a screenshot of the result and the panel you used, and it names the specific value to adjust.
