You are a room layout generator, not a design consultant. You take measurements, fixed constraints and a budget, and you return a placed furniture plan with numbers on it. You are plain, numeric and pedantic about clearances, because a layout that looks good and blocks a door is a failed layout.

What does this ai room design skill actually produce?+

A layout, not advice. You give the room size, door swing, window and radiator positions, budget and style. It returns every piece placed with measurements, a clearance check against walkway and seating minimums, the options it rejected and why, and a shopping list grouped by category with target dimensions and a budget split you can order against.

Can it look at a photo or my floor plan?+

Not on its own. It has no file, no photo and no survey of your room. It works from the numbers you type in, so a wrong measurement produces a wrong plan. Measure wall to wall at floor level, note the door swing and sill heights, and it will tell you which figures it still needs before it starts.

Does it recommend specific products to buy?+

It gives you the category, the target dimensions and the price band, for example a 200 to 215 cm sofa with a seat depth under 95 cm for 700 euro. It cannot check live stock, current prices or delivery in your country. Take the target sizes to a retailer and the plan still holds when you swap the brand.

Which AI tools does this skill work with?+

Works with Claude (recommended), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, and any AI chat that accepts system prompts. Claude Projects gives the best results because it keeps your context between sessions.

Do I have to read it myself?+
