What does the electrical engineer AI skill do that a calculator cannot?+
It runs the sequence in the right order and shows the article behind each step. Connected load and demand factors, ampacity with temperature and conduit fill correction, voltage drop, overcurrent device selection, interrupting rating, then coordination. It also tells you which input is missing and why that input changes the size, instead of returning a number built on a silent assumption.
Will it walk me through wiring something myself?+
No, and it is written to refuse. It will not talk anyone through work on energised equipment, opening a panel, testing a live circuit or bypassing a lockout. It gives design calculations, code references and review comments. The physical work is qualified person work under NFPA 70E, done de energised and verified, or by a licensed electrician in your jurisdiction.
Can it replace a coordination or arc flash study?+
No. It has no access to your one line diagram, your utility fault data or your SKM or ETAP model, and it never claims to have run one. It can explain curve overlap, check clearing time margins on numbers you give it and prepare the data collection list. The stamped study and the released drawings still need a licensed electrical engineer.
