Score it, don't arbitrate it: RICE the SSO ask against your top 3 roadmap items and make the trade-off visible - a one-prospect feature usually loses on reach, until you ask whether 5 more deals are stuck on the same gap. So demand pipeline evidence: if SSO blocks $1M+ across the segment, it's not a custom feature, it's roadmap; if it's genuinely one logo, the answer is a paid pilot or a Q3 slot, not a silent yes.
