BC migration from NAV 2017: 60k items, posting groups are a patchwork and inventory value differs from GL by 180k after go-live. Where did it break?

A 180k inventory-to-GL gap after a NAV migration is almost always posting date versus adjustment timing - run Adjust Cost Item Entries first and see how much of the gap dissolves; unadjusted average-cost entries are the classic culprit. What remains traces to inventory posting group mismatches where the migration mapped items to different groups than their historical value entries expect. Check whether expected cost posting was toggled differently between the systems - that alone explains six-figure gaps. Reconcile with the Inventory Valuation report against the GL per posting group, not in total. Send me that report and I'll isolate which group carries the delta.
