Audit before you delete - with last-run data on 900 searches you will typically find 600 dead, 250 duplicating the same 40 questions, and the 6 month-end ones that matter. Protect those six first: document owners, lock criteria, move them under a controlled role. The rogue PO alert is a workflow condition problem - the notification action has no recipient filter, so scope it to the approval chain and put the amount condition at the workflow level.
