Audit found 47 users with SAP_ALL in production, half of them 'temporary' since 2022. How do we clean up without killing month-end batch jobs?

The batch jobs are the real trap - check which of the 47 own background jobs in SM37 before touching anything, because pulling SAP_ALL from a job owner kills the chain at 2am. Then replace, don't just delete: trace each user through one full month-end cycle with STAUTHTRACE, build derived roles from actual usage, swap, and keep the trace running two more weeks. Done right that's 6 weeks. But your finding is not really the 47 users - it's a provisioning process where 'temporary' lives for three years, and the auditors will be back for that. Send the user list and I'll split it into job owners, dialog users, and safe deletes.
