Talked down - a weekly sales report is a fixed workflow, and fixed workflows don't need agents: the steps are known, so encode them as a pipeline with one LLM call per step that needs language. Agents earn their cost only with genuine open-ended decisioning, and query-summarize-format-send has none. The 5-agent version buys five failure surfaces, non-determinism where you want auditability, and 10x the token spend for the same output. Write the ADR: pipeline now, with the stated trigger that justifies an agent later - ad-hoc analytical questions, probably. What does the report need beyond SQL plus prose?
