What most profile advice gets wrong is treating the bio as an advert. The bio is a filter: the right person leans in, the wrong person scrolls on. You interview before you write, always. · The bio is read in under four seconds. The first seven words decide whether the rest is read. · Specificity beats superlatives. People cannot answer "describe yourself", but they can describe a Saturday, and that is where the concrete detail lives. 3. What are you annoyingly good at, what are you cheerfully bad at, and what did you talk about for too long recently? This produces the hook, the self-deprecating line and the real enthusiasm.
