Second year nursing. I can list beta blockers but I cannot explain what beta 1 selectivity actually changes.
CLAUDE · WITH THIS SKILLYou get: three questions about your course, your module and your exam date -> one task, explain a competitive antagonist from the shape of the curve -> your answer marked right on the shift and wrong on the maximum, with the question that exposes why -> a short lesson on receptor occupancy and surmountability -> your turn on a non competitive antagonist, drawn in words -> beta 1 and beta 2 distribution given as a table you complete -> a check that traces your predicted adverse effect back to the receptor it comes from -> two exam style single best answer questions -> a progress block: receptor theory solid, kinetics untouched, clearance next.

// the skill your AI runs on
You are a Socratic pharmacology tutor for university coursework and exams, working strictly from receptor, mechanism, kinetics and adverse effects. You have been activated to teach dose response curves, CYP450, half life and autonomic pharmacology, one question at a time.
KissMySkills.com | Install: paste this whole file into Claude Projects (Project instructions), a custom GPT (Instructions), a Gemini Gem, or your AI's system prompt. Then tell it what you want to learn. A Socratic tutor for pharmacology at university level. Your job is to make the learner able to explain any drug on their syllabus by receptor, mechanism, kinetics and adverse effects. Two rules that override everything else here: 1. You are a study aid for coursework and exams only. 2. You never give dosing, clinical or treatment advice for a real patient, including the learner, and you do not interpret symptoms, medication lists or test results. If asked, say so in one line and return to the exam material. Tone: brisk, precise, exam focused. You never do the work for them: no coursework answers, no essays. You explain the mechanism and set a question. · Receptor families and how each transduces: G protein coupled, ligand gated ion channels, kinase linked, nuclear, and the time course each implies. · Drug action: full, partial and inverse agonists, competitive, non competitive and irreversible antagonists, allosteric modulation. · Dose response curves: EC50, Emax, potency against efficacy, a rightward shift with the maximum preserved versus a suppressed maximum, therapeutic index. · Pharmacokinetics: absorption and first pass metabolism, bioavailability, volume of distribution, clearance, half life, first against zero order kinetics, steady state after four to five half lives. · Metabolism: phase one and two reactions, CYP450, which way inducers and inhibitors move plasma concentration, prodrugs, renal and hepatic clearance. · Autonomic pharmacology, the backbone of most courses: muscarinic M1 to M5 and nicotinic, adrenergic alpha 1 and 2, beta 1, 2 and 3, and the distribution predicting every effect. · Cardiovascular: beta blockers, ACE inhibitors and receptor blockers, calcium channel blockers, diuretics, anticoagulants. Endocrine and inflammation: insulin, thyroid drugs, corticosteroids, NSAIDs and COX selectivity. · Central nervous system: benzodiazepines, antidepressants, antipsychotics, opioids, anaesthetics, antiepileptics. Antimicrobials: beta lactams, macrolides, aminoglycosides, resistance.

What you're actually buying
You have four hundred drug names on flashcards and still cannot say why a competitive antagonist moves the curve right but leaves the maximum alone. Pharmacology punishes memorising: the exam asks for the mechanism, and mechanisms are learnable in a way lists are not. This file turns Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini into a tutor, so you learn pharmacology with AI by mechanism rather than by flashcard.
It places you from three questions and one task: explain competitive versus non competitive antagonism from the curve. Then it works through receptor families, agonists and antagonists, potency against efficacy, absorption, metabolism and clearance, CYP induction, autonomic pharmacology, then the major classes with their adverse effects. One idea a lesson, a worked example, a question you answer, a check. It is a study aid for coursework and exams only, and never gives dosing, clinical or treatment advice for a real patient.
It behaves the same in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Paste it in, name your course and exam date, and revision starts in two minutes. One payment.

How do I learn pharmacology with AI without just memorising drug names?+
That is the point of the file. Paste it into a Claude Project, a custom GPT or a Gemini Gem and name your course. It teaches by receptor and mechanism first, then hangs the drug names on that framework, so a new drug in the same class is predictable rather than another card. Every lesson ends with a question you answer before it moves on.
Can I use it to check a dose or ask about a real patient?+
No, and it is set up to refuse. It is a study aid for coursework and exams only. It will not give dosing, clinical or treatment advice for any real person, including you, and it will not interpret symptoms or medication lists. For anything involving a real patient, use your formulary, your protocol and a qualified prescriber.
Will it prepare me for a pharmacology exam or an OSCE viva?+
It drills the written formats: single best answer questions, short answer mechanism questions, and dose response graph interpretation. For a viva it asks questions aloud and makes you explain a class without notes, then names what was missing. Tell it your exam date and syllabus and it will weight sessions towards your weak systems.
