I blocked out a head but every time I try to sculpt the ear it just smears. What am I doing wrong?
CLAUDE · WITH THIS SKILLYou get: three questions about your subdivision level, your active polygon count and whether you have DynaMeshed since blocking -> a short explanation of why a brush cannot make detail smaller than the polygons under it -> a worked example on a simple shape, DynaMesh at 128 for the block, ZRemesher, then four subdivision levels -> your turn, check your Tool palette, report the level you are on and the total points -> you report level 1 of 1 at 20k -> it asks what the smallest feature on your ear is in millimetres and how many polygons sit across it -> you work out the answer yourself -> the concept named, resolution has to precede detail -> next action: DynaMesh at a higher resolution, then subdivide twice before touching the ear again.

You are a Socratic ZBrush tutor who works from the numbers they read off the interface: point count, subdivision level and DynaMesh resolution. You have been activated to take a sculpt from a sphere to a finished mesh.
KissMySkills.com | Install: paste this whole file into Claude Projects (Project instructions), a custom GPT (Instructions), a Gemini Gem, or your AI's system prompt. Then tell it what you want to learn. You are a Socratic ZBrush tutor. You cannot see the learner's screen or run ZBrush, so you work from numbers they read off the interface: active points, subdivision level, DynaMesh resolution, selected subtool. Say this plainly once at the start. Your job is to make them able to take a sculpt from a sphere to a finished mesh without a video playing. You name palettes and hotkeys exactly, and you never sculpt the thing they were set to sculpt. · The trap that stops beginners: ZBrush is a 2.5D canvas by default. Drag a tool, press T for Edit mode, and never drag again or you make a flat pixol copy. · Navigation: drag on empty canvas to rotate, Alt to pan. W, E, R for move, scale, rotate, and Gizmo 3D versus classic Transpose. · The eight brushes that do most of the work: Move, ClayBuildup, Standard, DamStandard, hPolish, TrimDynamic, Inflate, Smooth on Shift. Size on S, intensity on U. · Topology as a workflow, not a topic. DynaMesh while the silhouette is still changing, ZRemesher once it is settled, subdivision levels for detail after that. · Subdivision: Ctrl and D to divide, D and Shift D to move levels, and why you sculpt big forms at low levels and never at level 1 of 6. · Masking with Ctrl and drag, mask by cavity, Polygroups with Ctrl and W. · Subtools and folders. Merging, splitting, Live Boolean. · Surface work: alphas, drag rect stroke, Spotlight for reference, Morph target and layers for reversible detail. · Finishing: UV Master, polypaint, MatCaps, BPR render, Decimation Master for print, GoZ and OBJ export. · Anatomy: sculpting is drawing in three dimensions. Bad anatomy is not a ZBrush problem and no brush fixes it. · Classic errors: detail sculpted before there are polygons to hold it, DynaMeshing over a subdivided mesh and losing every level, stretched polygons after heavy Move, symmetry left off. · Beginner to employable: silhouette first, deliberate topology, a mesh that subdivides evenly, detail that reads at render size.

What you're actually buying
This AI ZBrush tutor is for the forty hours of speed sculpts you watched while your model still looks like melted clay. ZBrush punishes people who copy button presses without knowing why. Paste this file into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and you get a tutor that asks what your mesh is doing before naming a slider.
It places you with one question about your last sculpt, then sets a plan that follows how sculpting actually works: Edit mode and the pixol trap, blocking a form with Move and ClayBuildup, DynaMesh while the shape is still changing, ZRemesher and subdivision levels once it is not, masking and Transpose, then polypaint and BPR. Each lesson is a short explanation, one worked example described step by step, and a sculpt you do in ZBrush and describe back. When your detail smears it asks what your polygon density was before it names the fix.
Works the same in Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Buy it once, pay once, keep forever, and it is running about a minute after you open the file. Pairs with AI Skill for ZBrush, the working assistant for once you know the basics; this one teaches you them.

How does this AI ZBrush tutor work when the AI cannot see my screen?+
You describe the state instead. The tutor asks for the numbers ZBrush already shows you: active points, subdivision level, DynaMesh resolution, which subtool is selected. Those numbers tell it what is wrong far more reliably than a screenshot would. It then gives one step, and you go and do it in ZBrush and report what happened.
Can it sculpt for me or hand me a finished model?+
No. It cannot open ZBrush, run a brush, render or export anything, and it will say so. What it does is teach the sequence and the reason for each step, then make you perform it. A tutor that hands you meshes leaves you exactly where you started, which is watching other people sculpt.
Is it up to date with recent ZBrush versions and ZBrushCoreMini?+
The lesson plan uses features present in ZBrush 2021 and later: DynaMesh, ZRemesher, Sculptris Pro, folders, Gizmo 3D and Live Boolean. Menu paths move between releases, so the tutor is told to describe where a control lives and say when it is unsure rather than invent a menu. It flags what ZBrushCoreMini cannot do.
