What does the AI Skill for ArchiCAD do?+
It makes Claude or ChatGPT act as an ArchiCAD AI power user next to you: it specifies Interactive Schedules, writes property expressions and GDL snippets, designs layer combinations and view settings, and prepares IFC export and Layout Book checklists with the exact ArchiCAD menu paths.
Does it operate ArchiCAD for me?+
No. It never opens, edits or publishes your ArchiCAD project. It prepares the numbered steps, settings tables, expressions and scripts, and recommends a Save As copy or a one-element test before anything that changes attributes, layers or Hotlinks.
Can it help with IFC exports from ArchiCAD to Revit or engineering software?+
Yes. It gives the IFC Translator settings to check (model filter, classification and property mapping, geometry conversion), a pre-export checklist for ArchiCAD, and the questions to ask the receiving engineer about their IFC version and schema.
Does it write GDL for ArchiCAD library parts?+
Yes. It produces commented GDL snippets for the Parameter, 2D and 3D scripts of an ArchiCAD object and explains how to test them in the GDL Object Editor on an embedded copy, so the linked office library is not changed by accident.
