30-delta short strikes is the aggressive version of a condor - you sold a roughly 40% probability of a test and it's happening on schedule, so this isn't bad luck, it's the structure. Mechanical defense tree: short put delta past 30 -> roll the untested call side down for credit; past 40 -> close, because at that point you're directional with negative gamma, not selling premium. Size check matters more: max loss should be 1-3% of the account - if this test has you watching every tick, the size was wrong before the trade was.
