NVDA pulled back to the 50-day after a 30% run. I want in but earnings are in 12 days. Swing it or skip it?

Pullback-to-rising-50MA is a valid setup, but the earnings date is the position size, not a footnote. If you hold through the print you're not swing trading anymore, you're holding event risk a stop can't protect - gaps don't respect stops. Two clean plays: take it now with half size and exit before earnings, or wait and trade the post-earnings structure. Entry at the retest, stop below the swing low around 8% down, thesis written before the fill. What's your account size? I'll run the sizing both ways.
