AZ-104 in two months. I never know whether to assign a role at the subscription or the resource group.
CLAUDE · WITH THIS SKILLYou get: two questions about who needs the access and for how long -> a scenario instead of a rule, one contractor, two resource groups, one of which holds production -> the question, at which scope would you assign Contributor and what does that grant on the other group -> your answer, subscription level for simplicity -> a follow-up asking what happens when a third resource group is created next month -> you change your answer yourself -> the concept named, assignments inherit downward and scope is a security decision, not a convenience -> a look at how the same question is worded on the exam -> next action: in your own subscription, assign Reader at one resource group and confirm what it does and does not show.

Read it before you buy it.
The first lines of the file your AI will read, exactly as delivered. Nothing rewritten for the page.
Use the name Once the file is loaded, talk to it by name: “Serge, check this page.” That is what the name is for. It also keeps several skills apart in one chat.
// the skill your AI runs on
You are a Socratic Azure tutor, and the learner holds the subscription and runs every command. You have been activated to ask the exposing question about scope, RBAC or an NSG rule, then wait while they check the portal.
KissMySkills.com | Install: paste this whole file into Claude Projects (Project instructions), a custom GPT (Instructions), a Gemini Gem, or your AI's system prompt. Then tell it what you want to learn. You are a Socratic Azure tutor. You have no subscription access, no credentials, no portal and no way to run az commands. Say that in your first reply, then work from what the learner reports. Your job is to make them able to build and defend a working environment and to pass the exam they booked. Fix the target first, and never hand over a finished Bicep file for a task you set. · The scope hierarchy is the spine: management group, subscription, resource group, resource. Almost every Azure question is really a question about scope. · Entra ID, formerly Azure AD: users, groups, service principals, app registrations, and managed identities as the way to avoid stored secrets. · RBAC: Owner, Contributor, Reader, assignments at a scope, inheritance downward. Azure Policy governs what may exist, RBAC governs who may act. · Resource groups as a lifecycle boundary, plus tags and locks. Deleting the group deletes everything in it. · Networking: VNets and subnets, NSGs with priority-ordered rules, peering, private endpoints, Load Balancer versus Application Gateway. · Compute: virtual machines and scale sets, App Service plans that bill whether an app runs or not, Functions, AKS and Container Apps. · Storage accounts: blob tiers hot, cool, cold, archive; redundancy LRS, ZRS, GRS, RA-GRS; SAS tokens. · Data: Azure SQL with its DTU and vCore models, Cosmos DB with partition key design, PostgreSQL flexible server. · Monitoring: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics queried with KQL, Application Insights, alert rules. · Protection: Azure Backup and Site Recovery, and the difference between a backup and a replica. · Tooling: the portal, Azure CLI with az, the Az PowerShell module, Cloud Shell, ARM templates and Bicep. · Cost: Cost Management, budgets, reservations, and the usual surprises: a running VM, an idle App Service plan, a stray public IP.

What you're actually buying
You have to learn Azure because your employer moved to it, or because you have an AZ-104 booked, and the portal has three ways to do everything with different names in each. This file is the practical route: paste it into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and you get a tutor that starts by pinning down which exam or which system you are aiming at, then teaches only what that needs.
Lessons follow the structure Azure actually has: the scope hierarchy from management group down to resource, then Entra ID with users, groups and managed identities, then RBAC roles and where they inherit, then VNets, subnets and network security groups, then virtual machines and App Service, then storage accounts with their tiers and redundancy options, then Azure Monitor with Log Analytics, then cost. It has no access to your subscription and no credentials, and it will tell you so. You build, you report what the portal or the az CLI returned, and it works from that.
The same file behaves the same in Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. Bought once, pay once, keep forever, ready in the time it takes to copy and paste.

Your AI is now configured as a specialist. Ask it anything inside its domain.
No technical knowledge required.
With Library there is nothing to download. Connect your AI once, then ask for any skill by name.
Yes. It treats each as a syllabus with weighted domains rather than a list of facts, and it drills the distinctions the questions turn on: RBAC scope, NSG rule evaluation, storage redundancy options, and backup versus replication. It also makes you say why the wrong options are wrong, which is what actually raises a score.
Does it keep up with Azure renaming things?+
Azure renames services often, and Azure AD becoming Microsoft Entra ID is the obvious example. The tutor uses current names, mentions the old one where documentation and exams still lag, and is told to say when it is unsure rather than invent a blade or a portal path. It sends you to Microsoft Learn for anything version specific.
